Ugland Marine Services AS (UMS) is responsible for the technical management and commercial operations of Ugland owned vessels and vessels owned by others, as well as the supervision of newbuildings.

This service is executed in compliance with the highest international standards of quality and safety. The Quality and Safety Management System is certified by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), based on the ISM Code and ISO 9001-2008 requirements and ISO14001-2004.

Many of UMS office personnel have extensive maritime background - both theoretical (naval architects, structural etc.) and practical seamanship - and thorough knowledge of client requirements with respect to efficient, safe, and economical cargo handling and transportation. With this wide range of in-house expertise and experience, UMS is able to provide optimal transportation solutions for its clients.

The UMS Quality and Management System focuses on optimal working practices in all areas of our operation. UMS seeks not only compliance to the ISM Code and ISO standard, but also to the Tanker Management Self Assessment (TMSA) scheme. Since this was introduced in the market UMS has worked towards and has achieved an average level of implementation greater than 3 overall. UMS will continue to seek and implement best practice specifically related to TMSA.

In addition, Ugland Offshore AS has been awarded FPAL and Achilles JQS certificates empowered by Achilles.
