Offshore Service Vessels

The investment in Platform Supply Vessels marks The J.J. Ugland Companies' (JJUC) re-entering into a market segment where the company anticipates increased demand. JJUC regards this a strategically long-term area of commitment and expects to invest further in this segment.

Delivered in July 2012, the 5,433-dwt/1000 m3 deck, PSV Evita was the first vessel in the OSV fleet. Evita is presently employed in the spot market. The vessel has performed well and has received only positive feedback from customers.

Delivered from Kleven Verft, Ulsteinvik in April 2014, the 5,456 dwt/1016 m3, PSV Juanita has been employed on various charter contracts to Statoil since delivery. Presently (as from June 2016) on a one year contract, with four additional six months options.

Both vessels have class notation Clean Design, reflecting low emission. Catalytic system reduces the engines'  NOx emissions considerably and, in addition, the vessels are equipped with a ballast water treatment system. With light ice class (ICE C), the vessels are well suited for operations in Northern waters. The vessels also have oil recovery equipment (OIL REC and NOFO 2009) and are equipped for stand-by services and rescue operations.

Ugland Offshore AS, part of JJUC's fully integrated group of shipping companies, is in charge of the commercial and technical management of the OSV vessels.
