Delivery of new bulk carrier
Naming and delivery ceremony of MV Rosita held at Tsuneishi Cebu.
We are proud to announce that on 17 September, MV Rosita was officially named in a festive and solemn ceremony at Tsuneishi Heavy Indistries shipyard in Cebu, Philippines. The sponsor, Mrs. Solfrid Ribe, sent Rosita off on her first voyage, with best wishes for both ship and crew.
MV Rosita is a state-of-the-art ultramax bulk carrier of 66 551 dwt and is the first of four sister ships on order from Tsuneishi. The last vessel is scheduled to be delivered in 2029 and the contracting forms part of our long-term fleet renewal strategy.
MV Rosita is owned by Ugland Bulk Shipping AS and managed technically and commercially by UMS. For her first two years at sea, the vessel has been chartered to Bunge.
