Shipping is a highly environmental-friendly mode of transport. Nevertheless, a number of measures can be implemented to further reduce the trade's adverse impacts on the environment.

Our ship management companies (Ugland Marine Services AS and Canship Ugland. Ltd.) and the vessels are certified according to the ISM-code, ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004. In addition, the vessels are certified in compliance with the ISPS code.  Ugland Marine Services AS is presently working towards OHSAS-18001 certification in the course of 2012.
