The naming ceremony of newbuilding SC220, MV Ellenita, from Tsuneishi Heavy Industries, Inc., Cebu took place at Tsuneishi’s Cebu yard this morning.
Godmother for MV Ellenita is Pernille L. Paulsen, wife of General Manager Jan Erik Paulsen of Mitsubishi Corporation, Oslo.
The TESS58 type supramax bulk carrier is the second of four vessels contracted by UM Bulk AS, a 50/50 JV between the J.J. Ugland companies, Grimstad and Mitsubishi Corporation, Tokyo.
The new eco-design vessel ensures reduced fuel consumption compared to existing tonnage.
