New shipbuilding contract

Shipbuilding contract signed with Tsuneishi for two new 66,000 dwt bulk carriers.

We are pleased to announce that a shipbuilding contract has been signed with Tsuneishi for two new 66,000 dwt bulk carriers. The vessels will be constructed at Tsuneishi Group (Zhoushan) Shipbuilding in China, and delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2028 and the first half of 2029.

The company already has two similar vessels on order, due for delivery from Tsuneishi Cebu in September 2026 and January 2027. All four vessels will be owned by Ugland Bulk Shipping AS and managed technically and commercially by UMS. The contracting forms part of our long-term fleet renewal strategy.
